Kiwanis Camp Casey 2010 will be held from Sunday, August 1 to Saturday, August 7, 2010

It is time to start figuring the staffing needs for Camp. We need your help! We need your help!

It is our goal to have a Kiwanis interclub come up every day, but we always need additional help. Volunteers are needed to stay over night to help with our fire watch. Each day Kiwanis cook the meals, set up and clean up the mess hall and wash camper's laundry. Thursday evening August 5 we need additional adult volunteer help. Thursday is the night we give the volunteer counselors a night off. In past years, we have had two adults in each barracks for the early morning shifts. It worked so well we would love to repeat this staffing schedule. Friday is a busy day; we pack up camper's gear and clean the camp grounds. We appreciate volunteers who can spend the night and help with the fire watch and we also need volunteers willing to help clean up for camp check out on Saturday. Anytime you can come up to volunteer from Saturday July 31 initial set up to Saturday, August 7 final camp clean up will be much appreciated!

This year you may save time and postage and apply online. Note that a Washington State Patrol background check must be completed before attending camp. We try our best to keep our records and repeat the checks only every two years as required by law. Results will not be released to you unless they are unsatisfactory.

Be sure to let us know if you would like to order a t-shirt, listing your size on the application. Include a check paid out to North Central Kiwanis for $15.00. We must receive payment by July 15.

For the Kiwanis members who are unable to attend because you have young children of your own, we still want to stay connected with you. Please consider attending our picnic held up at Fort Casey State Park. It will be held on Thursday, August 5, 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Simply RSVP by email to: director@campcasey.org.
