Learn More about Camp
Camp is sponsored by the North Central Seattle Kiwanis Club. During the week of camp you will usually see Kiwanians hard at work in the kitchen and laundry. High school and college aged volunteer counselors have the unique and exciting opportunity to really interact with the Campers. Counselors get to spend their entire day with the campers. Counselor duties include but are not limited to: ensuring a safe environment for the campers, feeding during meal times, assisting in bathroom duties, and morning/evening routines. Camp Casey maintains an extremely fun and energetic environment, impossible without the tireless effort of the counselors.
Camp Casey is extremely rewarding, but be prepared to work hard. The role of a counselor involves little sleep and some heavy lifting (must be able to lift at least 50 lbs). Although some prior experience with disabilities may be a plus, it is not required to be a counselor. Counselor meetings in the weeks leading up to camp will prepare you for everything you need to know.
The 2011 counselor meetings will be July 11th, 18th, and 25th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
To learn more about the campers and the activities at camp check out the "About Camp" section of the website.
